UCA never had lead in series opening loss against Lipscomb
UCA cut deficit to 5-4 in fourth on a pair of two-run home runs by Preston Curtis and Tanner Leonard

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Lipscomb scored five runs in the first inning Friday night and never trailed in taking a 13-6 victory over the Central Arkansas at Dugan Field.
The Bisons, who secured the series win, got a grand slam from catcher Jake Berg the opening inning, then added home runs by center fielder Collin Goda in the sixth inning and right fielder Aaron Stelogeannis in the eighth.
Lipscomb finished with 13 hits, including three each by Stelogeannis and David Coppedge.
UCA cut the deficit to 5-4 in the fourth on a pair of two-run home runs by Preston Curtis and Tanner Leonard. Catcher Casey Shipley singled and scored on Curtis’ second home run in as many days.
First baseman Jagger Schattle came in on Leonard’s first blast of the year after his double to right center.
But the Bisons (17-20, 10-7) scored eight more times over the next five innings, including two runs in the seventh and four in the eighth. UCA responded by scoring twice in the top of the ninth.
Schattle, who finished 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored, singled and Moseni did the same. Both runners advanced on a passed ball before Zeb Allen grounded out to score Schattle.
Pinch-hitter Sam Reynolds drew a walk and Bryce Cermenelli followed with a two-out RBI single to left, bringing in Moseni to set the final.
The series finale is set for 1 p.m. Saturday. UCA returns home for a Tuesday night matchup with UAPB, followed by an ASUN series with Bellarmine on Friday through Sunday at Bear Stadium.
